The vast majority of Sherwood Heights homes for sale are single-family homes, most of which are one level and are generally ranch-style houses or bungalows. The square footage of these homes are usually between 1,000 and 1,500 square feet and prices usually range from just under $300,000 up to approximately $450,000. There's also a smaller selection of two-storey homes that have slightly more interior space.

Situated right in the center of the the homes in the neighbourhood, the park includes a baseball diamond, soccer field, pickleball court, playground, and plenty of green space.

Multiple churches and schools are also located at the edge of the park. The schools are Sherwood Heights Junior High, Les Petits Soleils Preschool, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School (a French immersion middle school).

Right next to Sherwood Heights Park is the large grassy area known as Cottonwood Park, which is great for relaxing or going for a walk. Other schools in the area include Pine Street Elementary, Salisbury Composite High School, and École Campbelltown (French immersion Grades 1-12).

Golfers can play a round at the Broadmoor Public Golf Course, which is just to the north of Sherwood Heights in the neighbouring Broadmoor Estates Community. Broadmoor Lake and the surrounding park is also a great place to walk and spend a peaceful day in nature.

The closest shopping and dining amenities are located along Wye Road at the southwestern edge of the neighbourhood, where you'll find Walmart, Canadian Tire, London Drugs, Starbucks, Original Joe's, Earl's, Boston Pizza, and many other well-known establishments. Sherwood Park Mall is also just a short drive away.
