The Sherwood Park Freeway, just south of Kenilworth, provides quick access to the Edmonton ring-road. Kenilworth residents enjoy their own commercial district along their southern boundary on 82 Avenue. This stretch is home to a number of businesses, including eateries, gyms, and car-related services. For more comprehensive shopping options, residents can visit the nearby Bonnie Doon Centre, which includes a branch of the Edmonton Public Library.

Within Kenilworth, there is Kenilworth Park, with a large playground, bike track, outdoor rink, and field - all maintained by the Kenilworth Community League. There is also Kenilworth Field which hosts an arena, as well as a sledding hill for families to enjoy in the winter.

Kenilworth has three schools: Kenilworth Junior High, Waverly Elementary, and École Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc Catholic school.
